Got an error responding to this Beth's update. I'll retry - hope this is not a repeat:
Ahh - yes. Since in installing the latest build I deleted org.eclipse.ptp,
but only reinstalled the lastest core build. That makes sense.

you got this error, since it's coming from the parallel
>language development tools that should be completely independent.

Sounds to me like the workspace first was launched with PLDT installed,.
then later was launched without PLDT installed. Or else it thinks so.,.
