Re: [ptp-dev] Final build of Parallel package for Luna

Thanks Chris.

Several of the features aren't available in the parallel package.
GEM, etc.  Nobody requested it be in the package and we tend to try to keep it leaner.
But yes, should have put it in the simrel repository, we should have tested it from there.
Darn.
Todo next year: at an early milestone, test that any new features added are in the simultaneous release repository (http://download.eclipse.org/releases/staging)

It will be on our own update site
which is *now* at PTP - http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ptp/builds/luna/milestones/RC4
and on release day will be at the site built into the package at PTP - http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ptp/updates/luna
We will probably have an 8.0.1 soon anyway and tell folks to get that - will do at XSEDE tutorial in July.
A bug was found where the parallel debugger doesn't work for newer releases of OpenMPI
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=437557
which has been fixed, just need to do a build
(Greg can you bump the versions to 8.0.1?)

I tried basic testing with Ubuntu 12.10, setup shallow as a synchronized projects on trestles, built & ran without issue. Basic debugger testing, no problems. I also tested ETFw with Perfsuite psrun/psprocess locally, no issues.

The only feature I couldn't find at http://download.eclipse.org/releases/staging/  was the perfsuite feature Rui created that includes the Perfsuite Feedback View, should that be there?
