Testing on Windows 7 X86_64
I noticed the same Task Repositories view problem on windows in
the CVS Perspective
If I select checkout as Remote Synchronized C/C++ project, then
under Remote tool chain I get the expected ones, including the
Remote/Linux GCC, but oddly enough, I also get the Linux GCC and
Remote Linux GCC listed under the "Local Toolchains" section of
the new project wizard. Not a show stopper, but confusing since
I'm running windows.
After checking out at Remote Synch Project, I ran the same battery
of tests on windows as I did on Linux and everything worked. Built
on trestles, Ran on trestles, retrieved job output, no profiling
tools available (I think a plugin is missing).
I also ran the same battery of tests going the route of checkout
shallow as a C project, empty makefile, "Other Toolchain" and
created the project. Then, I converted to Remote Synch Project
and ran the same set of tests.

I tested:
Switched to CVS Repository Perspective, noticed the Task
Repositories view is still broken (is that expected)? The view
shows "Could not create the view:
org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui.views.repositories"
Checked out Shallow from CVS as C project
Converted Shallow to remote synchronized project on Trestles
Built and ran shallow as a batch job on trestles
Retrieved job output
I noticed that in the system monitoring perspective, after I
select to show only my jobs, unselecting to just show my jobs
doesn't have any effect unless I refresh the job monitor for
trestles. Is that expected? I let it sit for a while, no refresh
happened.
Checked out another copy of shallow, built and ran it as a local
project using the OpenMPI-Generic-Interactive
Under Profiling, I selected the Performance Analysis tab, but I
don't see any tools to select (usually see TAU and PPW_UPC). It
just says "Specify a valid tool configuration file in
Performance Tool preferences". I think something is missing.

Can someone please download
and do at least a brief test on win and linux? And report
back here what you tested on. THANK YOU.
I'm downloading s-l-o-w-l-y
the mac version.
I need to give it +1 or -1
vote soon for M4 (-1 would essentially mean it would be
omitted from this milestone).
Anything that was added to
the build, especially, look for that and make sure it's
there (the new terminal view for instance?)

Hi all,
I'd like to get your votes for the Kepler M4 EPP package
build:
http://build.eclipse.org/technology/epp/epp_build/kepler/download/20121220-1035/
It took a bit longer today because of Bug 396816 (EPP hit by "No suitable provider" for
sparcv9 bug)
Thanks,
