Re: [ptp-dev] Juno M5 - parallel package

Is this a problem with remote tools or RDT? I'm a bit confused. Can you open a bug?

Thanks,
Greg

From what we can tell the thing still insists on using Java 5 and we don't know how to get it to switch. We have only Java6 in our .profile and it still won't use it.

Anyway, I'm not the remote tools expert... it's busted, that's all I can say.

Since PTP master is compiled with Java 6, I had problems connecting to my RDT server initially because my box is running Java 5. After I upgraded to Java 6 everything seems to be working as they should. This is RDT only. I didn't get a chance to try it on a Remote Tools connection.

Chris is trying out on the same box now. Hopefully the issues he saw will go away.

I tried remote projects with Remote Tools and things are pretty busted. Building works but anything indexing related is not working. Lots of errors in the error log about Remote Tools Dstore Server not being able to load classes.

Greetings PTP Developers... I told you this was a busy week.

Please test the parallel package for Juno on whatever platform(s) you have.

Download from:
http://build.eclipse.org/technology/epp/epp_build/juno/download/20120202-1517/

This Juno build should have the Linuxtools packages re-enabled.

I have not seem much traffic on ptp-dev, is anyone testing our packages for Juno or Indigo?

Please reply to the email about which release (reply to this for Juno, other for Indigo SR2) with what platform(s) you have tested.

Thank you! In order to have a robust installation process and a stable PTP, we NEED YOU TO TEST - not just on your development
copy of Eclipse and PTP, but on these builds too! We currently over 34,749 downloads of the parallel package - let's be sure
to make the next user's installation experience, and upgrade experience, as positive as possible!

Please test and vote... :)
