I think renaming it is a good idea. I didn't use the profile service for 
my plugin since I thought the term 'profile' too narrowly  specified what 
my plugin provided. Performance analysis, or something similar would be 
fine with me.

Hi Dave,

I was thinking that the profile service would be used for that. We can 
rename it if you like.
