[ptp-dev] PTP MPI config instructions; user post to newsgroups

I sent the instructions to Greg a few minutes ago.

A user posted a question about running MPI in the CDT newsgroup.
I answered pointing him in the direction of PTP, and cross-posted to the
PTP newsgroup as well.
He has questions about running and debugging which you others could
probably answer better than I.
(I'm away from the office until Jan. 4)
