Re: [platform-vcm-dev] Turn off password storage of CVS repository

No, this is not currently possible.  There is an existing feature request for this:

http://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=5336

Currently, you can only control the location where the password is stored (-keyring command line argument), and the password used for encrypting the keyring file (-password command line argument).  The keyring file is encrypted with fairly strong encryption (based on SHA-1), but of course this is only as strong as the password used to encrypt it.

Hi,

I noticed that the password for a pserver connection to a CVS
repository is stored in eclipse. Can this be changed?

For example eclipse could ask for the password after it has been
started and the user makes the first acess to the repository.

Or have I overlooked a preference setting?

Thanks
Martin
