RE: [platform-update-dev] Simple question

One reason you may want to mirror the site locally is to use it in conjuction with the update policy, and enforce all the updates to be picked up from the local mirror. This would be useful for saving on the bandwidth and for ensuring no new updates get picked up (so you have control over what's on your developer's machines).

[platform-update-dev] Simple question

Hi All,

Do you think it is necessary for a company to mirror the Callisto and Eclipse Project update sites? Do you know of any company that has done (or is in the process of doing) this?

Many thanks,

Miles
