I'm aware of your work and like it, unfortunately this currently sits
with platform.text where I'm not a committer. If that sit a little bit
longer I will integrate it into Saneclipse so that people can start
using it.

Yes, see patch in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=427999
for the similar experience in Eclipse. I plan to work on this next
week.

Definitely something which we must be able to configure. I believe
with this feature 50 % will hate it and 50 % will love it.

IIRC Brian had plans to look at auto-save. I ping him via email to
this thread to see it that is true. He could have a look at this
feature if that is true.
