Actually, there is a serious problem w.r.t. endianness in the motif version as well. This is going to be fixed in the next week or so.

Wasn't it Darwin on x86, not the Mac?  On the actual physical Mac, I'm quite sure Eclipse/GTK will have major problems.  There are a bunch of ugly places where endianness matters :-(  (but Motif is fine)

Re: starting Eclipse:  you don't have to port the launcher, invoking java from teh command line will do.

I have begin the port of eclipse on MacOS X.

In the begenning, I try to port with fink and Motif but I have only
Lesstif and I have compatibility problems.

Ater I try with gtk+ and the compilation of the 3 lib of swt.work fine,
you can find the makefiles and the libraries in the file

I need some help how to launch eclipe directly with gtk.
And everbody want to help me to port eclipse on MacOS X
