Running from the IDE (without surefire) also worked locally on Linux (I tested) and Mac (Lakshmi tested) at least.

In https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=541415#c63 , there is a comment about former cases where "probably because screen is not rendered", which is similar to my local experiment about screensaver.

Are we sure that the screen is always rendered and not made blank after some delay of "human" inactivity?
