In an effort to work around bug Bug 492412I have turned on the local cache
(or, more exactly, turned off it's automatic cleaning each build). 

I would expect there to still be several
more "build failed" messages (if fundamental problem not fixed)
but eventually should have enough in local cache to complete a build. 

First of these is scheduled for 10:45
AM.  If it fails, I will just keep at it, and see if progress is made.
