haha~you really make me laugh, thank you for your advice, i am really
appreaciate
the reason i do this is
1)for my current job,to provide a build strategy
add to my rcp project
2)for my intersting in this area
i actually want duplicate your build(or a simpler version)
more important than the build tech you use, i want learn the management
skills of release process
for example
separate integration and master branch, and submit
contribution to integration branch for I builds
i know it is impossible to comletely know the things your experts have done
, so i listen to your suggestion and prepare to give up the idea to
duplicate
then to find some simpler solutions,
thank you for your patient
maybe i still have question latter, hope your can point out me a
direction
best wishes!

Yes. for
both. You've not really said what
you want this for. But, be aware this is a rapidly changing area. We'll soon
split out some of the tools we use from the base builder, and use it no more.
Just the tools (see bug 324682). Plus some form/combination of "the CBI" that's
being developed. (There's a mailing list for that). Plus the
"ecilpseBuilder" project (in Git) is what actually _drives_ our build,
packaging, and initiates the tests (and there we use only master, for both
streams). Any data that is stream specific is in the releng maps project (in
Git), which is branched; R3_8_maintenance, R4_2_maintenance, and master (for
Kepler). Not only the literal maps and repository pointers in there are steam
specific, but many other variables or properties in the 'configuration' folder.
If you are asking because you want
to duplicate our build, I'd recommend not. Find something simpler.
If you are doing a masters thesis or something then there you
are ... all set ... jack pot ... good topic ... several years of study just
waiting for some code archeology :) Good luck. From: oliver_tech <oliver_tech@xxxxxxx> To: "Daniel Megert" <daniel_megert@xxxxxxxxxx>,
