It seems many people have had trouble getting recent eGit builds. If you happen to work for a certain large company that has an internal corporate mirror with a lunar-themed name, it might be because the internal mirror doesn't carry recent eGit builds. If you are one of those people, you can use this p2 repository URL to install recent eGit builds, and the eGit releng tool:

http://www.eclipse.org/external/egit/updates-nightly
