[platform-help-dev] Search language stemming?

I was just looking closely at the Search dialog/functionality in Eclipse 2.0
(I have the May 15 integration build loaded) and find that it opens the
search to look for any occurance of the root of the search words I enter,
removing std suffixes, such as gerunds.
(For example, when I search for 'undocked', it seems to generate a
Javascript in the <Head> of the topic that hilites all occurances in the
topic of 'undock'.)

Is this "language stemming" support I'm seeing, and does/will the Eclipse
2.0 search engine support this for more than just English? If so, is there a
stemming algorithm embedded for all the languages supported by the Search
engine?

Thanks,
   Christal
