[platform-doc-dev] Remove 1.0 HTML doc from eclipse.org?

I would like to propose removal of the
Eclipse 1.0 HTML documentation from the eclipse.org Web site, leaving only
the PDF documentation.  There are two main reasons for this:

1. The documentation is stale and has
many broken links.

2. Search engine hits for Eclipse documentation
usually rank the 1.0 documentation above all other releases.  This
is because the 1.0 doc is in simple and stable HTML form, while later releases
use dynamically served documentation that is not as easily reachable by
search engines.

Rather than putting effort into cleaning
up this doc, and playing tricks to encourage better ranking of the most
recent documentation, it seems easier to just yank this old content from
the Web site.  I suspect the set of users who are *intentionally*
reading this documentation is small.  Comments?
