[platform-doc-dev] I have done a quick pass over the gettingStarted sect

... to update some of the text for R3.0.

A couple of points:
- The results are still not great. It's better than we had, but post-R3.0 
we should look at all this content again.
- The copyright notices all still say:

src="../images/ngibmcpy2003.gif" alt="Copyright IBM Corporation 2000, 
2003. All Rights Reserved." border="0" width="324" height="14"></a>
I was going to try to fix this, but there doesn't appear to be a 
ngibmcpy2004.gif yet. In any case, I suspect that all the files (not just 
the ones I edited) need to be updated, since they likely all have new 
images.
