As an end user I can say the existing support for tasks and types meets my
needs.
In our usage we define all tasks in the build file directly -

Darin,
I would recommend nixing the following:
* Support for configuration specific tasks
* Support for configuration specific types
This would be an easy way to resolve 25652 (which is currently marked
later.)
I'd be surprised If I were alone in thinking that this part of the UI does
more harm than good.
