Re: [photran] Intel Compiler OSX + Photran

oooh,  a direct line to Intel ;)

re: Photran on Linux integration:

Being that
a) Mac is *nix based
b) Photran is platform independent...

hmmm, couldn't the nice folks at Intel get us nice Mac people, that choose to use Photran, a quick little cute little Intel pluggin for this awesome platform on a Mac?  pleeeeease :)

Xcode is fine, but it's huge and bulky and complicated and has too many buttons I wont use.  Photran is so much more simple for us simple Fortran folks...

Ok, I'm feeling the "poke"...   :-o

We (Intel) don't ship our Photran integration with our compiler.  It is
part of the Photran download.  However, we only provide a Photran
integration on Linux, not on Mac or Windows.  The Intel Fortran compiler
integrates into Xcode on the Mac and Visual Studio on Windows.

If you'd like to see the Intel Photran integration supported on Mac, I
suggest that you use one of the Intel software support forums to "cast
your vote" -
orum.aspx

If enough people ask for it, then the people who decide what we support
and where may take notice.

To be honest, I don't think they ship Eclipse with their Fortran product
at
all. I was just trying to poke them into responding ;)

bah...could that be why I don't see it?

upgraded 5 min after getting the email.

I didn't see a Photran version with the Intel compiler because it was
a downloaded one from their website, not a CD. (student lisence)

Did the Intel Fortran compiler for OSX not come with Photran? They
do that
with the CDT for their C++ compilers.

Besides using command line, I was wondering if there is an easy way
to set up Photran so that all I have to do is hit *compile* (build)
and voila! executable!

I can't figure out for the life of me how to do it in Photran....

Please help me :)
