[photran-dev] Re: Development directions and thoughts from Supercomputing

Jeff,
As a member of the priesthood, I'm going to say that you can call it anything you want. However, you should be clear what version numbers will be in your plug-ins and features: will they be 2008.0 ? Or 4.0 ? Or something else entirely?
For example, the collective Ganymede release is just a name for version x.y of Platform and w.z of CDT and a.b of WTP and so on. So you can call your release "Photran 2008" for marketing reasons - no problem at all.

5. I would like to call our first release Photran 2008 (2009?), if the Eclipse priesthood will allow this.  I really wish we were "Photran 2008 on CDT 2008 on Eclipse 2008," since even I can't remember that I'm running "Photran 4.0b3 on CDT 4.0.1 on Eclipse 3.3.1.1 on OS X 10.4."
