Re: [phoenix-dev] Ganymede action for the home page
|
It wasn't the Europa vs. Ganymede, it was the Eclipse vs. Ganymede.
More to avoid the confusion around Eclipse the project, Eclipse the
collection of projects and Eclipse the community. By saying "Download
Ganymede", we avoid that whole can of worms.
cheers,
ian

Nice work guys! This looks great. Ian B is right, though, it might
be a bit confusing about whether you'd be getting Ganymede or Europa
using the image that Nathan has. I think Denis' image was intended to
but put up only on release day.

Subject: [phoenix-dev] Ganymede action for the home page
Here is a quick mock-up of a big Ganymede banner for the home page.
I'm no graphics guy, so this is very rough, but should serve to
illustrate what I'm thinking about -- something huge to draw
attention to Ganymede. The banner is based on Bjorn's ideas for a
new home page.
Of course, we'd change the banner to indicate Ganymede is here on the
release day.
