RE: [phoenix-dev] New website design: a call for participation

I think it is fine to choose any colour for the background.  IMHO, the dark
and white backgrounds are examples and the most common use case.    

What we can't do is change the actual logo.   Well we could but that is a
different and bigger discussion that is not within the scope of the Phoenix
project.

So can we use the one that's on a white background on anything other 
than a white background?  I don't even know if it works visually with 
that many other colors, but just for the sake of widening our submission 
pool, is that allowed?  It says "on light background" on the web page, 
but since the comments here were about "white" I just wanted to make sure.
