Perhaps the "Kicks of EclipseCon" announcement should have been changed to "EclipseCon was a rousing success" - that way people who see the home page won't accidentally think that EclipseCon is about to start.  Similarly for RCP Training - at the very least the announcement should read "Early registration ended Mar 31st", eh?

If we're talking about infrequent visitors, then we should be even *more* careful about what words are on that page, eh?

The history of the announcements allows people that aren’t frequent visitors to our web site to see what has happened and is happening in the community.
