RE: [phoenix-dev] Vote for Committer status for KarlMatthias has started

Phoenix Committers,

It would appear that many of us would like to see Karl become a committer.  In the Phoenix project we all have certain roles and responsibilities inside the project.  Bjorn, when you nominated Karl, where did you see him fitting into the project?

I have looked at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=163356 and while this does involve the Phoenix project for displaying the information on the mailing lists, only a webmaster would have access to fix this bug in particular.  So I do not see the validity of applying this bug to the Phoenix project.

I will remove my veto provided that Karl can provide patches and or solutions for three or more bugs filled under Technology / Phoenix project.  I would hope that each of these patches would be reviewed / applied by three different committers to verify the value of the work being put forth.

Nathan,
You're correct, I included the wrong bug # - I meant this one:
    https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=163356
which is a Phoenix issue that required an understanding of the architecture and an interesting solution.

Bug 177087 is a Community / Portal issue.  Since the portal is not part of
the phoenix project I don't see how this relates to him being a phoenix
committer.
