[phoenix-dev] LDAP access

Is it possible to access the repository that manages the credentials for
phoenix committers from our PHP scripts? 

We're in the process of moving our Resources page data into a database and
we'd like to build some pages for manipulating the data. Of course, we'd
like to make sure that access is restricted. I'm thinking that restricting
it to phoenix committers might be a good way to go.

If it is possible (i.e. the PHP libraries are installed and the servers are
exposed), what connect information do I use?

Of course, the more I think about this, the more I wonder if this might just
be a better fit for the Wiki...
