[pde-ui-dev] HELP REQ.FOR DEVELOPING PLUGIN

I was learning to develop a plug-in in eclipse.The "hello! Eclipse world"
plugin was working fine. I then tried developing a plugin on my own which
gave some errors. I tried executing the "hello! Eclipse world" plugin again
but it did not execute.
The error was:
 java.lang.NullPointerException
and Unhandled exception in event loop----in org.eclipse.ui

Can anyone tell me how to solve the problem.
