Re: [pde-dev] [tycho-dev] Resolving against multiple .target files

Reacting to Tobias' comments during Tycho tutorial, I created a request for supporting multiple targets in PDE tracked here: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=392652

Using local p2 repositories is completely different use case. I would
not try to address it as part of this discussion.

I don't think references relative to target file location will be too
useful.

I wasn't in particular thinking about your current goal. We consume lots
of target platforms "from disc". A way to specify paths (to software
sites or bundle folders) relative to the current target definition that
works across PDE and Tycho would be of great value to us. Currently we
"patch" target files as part of the build process so that we can re-use
one file in both worlds.
