[pde-dev] significance of subscripts wrt projects

I have searched for this but didnt get any info.In my java pespective in the navigator view the project name is followed by letters such as (N),(L),(R).

One thing i have noticed is all normal java projects which has nothing to do with cvs has (N) indicator.Pls do clarify abt this.
