Re: [pde-build-dev] Bundle Dependency Question
|
Hi Mark,
your criticism is well deserved. I guess I've been a bit to focused on
providing great implementations and not so eager to describe how they
work :-)
Seriously, we really have been heads down in design and implementation,
trying to get everything together before the Europa code freeze but
we're now working hard now on getting all documentation and examples in
shape before the Europa release.
Regards,
Thomas Hallgren

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for your response. Yes - I have tried Buckminster a few times
and my brain still hurts. ;o) To be honest - every time I read about
it, I think "this is exactly what we need!". But every time I tried
to use it, I got errors and could not even get the Hello World
examples to work. It seems like a brilliant package, but I still
cannot understand how to use it. And given the trouble I had
following the examples on a few separate occasions it just seemed that
it was not ready yet. As much as I would like to help out the project
and actually devote the time to figure it out - I simply didn't
(don't?) have the time. It also seemed to be changing quite a bit
still and I figured it would be quite risky to starting coding on top
of it at that point.
You can find my various posts to the newsgroup. I imagine a lot of
the problems I had before have been worked out but at the time I just
had to move on to finding other solutions.
Thanks for the reply,
Mark.
