Hi Ian,

yes, actually it's a side effect, that with this version of the
Makefile it is easier to make the build work properly under the CDT
and its build configurations. Now I would say that the name of the
output directory is not as important to me as a cleaned up Makefile
with support for cross compilation. Therefore I created a new patchset
that keeps the original name of the build directory.

However, it should be possible to override the output directory name
by providing an environment-variable named "blddir" to the build
environment (Ant). To me that sounds like the preferred solution now.
