Re: [ormf-dev] What can ORMF count on you for

Hi Joel,

here is what I can donate to ORMF:

August: 3
September: 3
October: 5
November: 7
December: 7
January: 7

I am a bit tight this month and in September, since I suddenly found myself in the position of project manager for a customer who is *very* formal (long weekly reports, detailed, long term project plans) and thus takes quite some overtime, which limits my availability for ORMF.

My preferred areas of working are:
- architecture
- data model
- persistency
- OSGi aspects (framework, integration)
And anything else I can be of help (this includes test and documentation ;-)) On the weekends I am currently setting up a local cluster of servers at home (3 or 4 machines, old and cheap) for local tests, which I could use for client-server testing, stress testing and other, network-related things. And of course for any compatibility things (various Linux distributions, MS Windows, etc.).

Kind regards,
Wolfgang

Hi,

I think it is now time that we begin giving though for what we can actually accomplish with the resources we have. In order to even start getting a handle on this we need to know more less what resources we actually have. So I would like to request that each of us think deep and come up with the approximate number of person days they feel they will be able to contribute. I suggest that this estimate be for the next six months and that it we provide it against each month individually. This will allow us to take into account holidays and other commitments that vary.

At the same time I would really also like to know where each of you see yourself making a contribution. Essentially I would like to know what technologies you would like to be playing with, either because you already have the skill sets or because you are eager to pick them up.

Thanks,
Joel
