Hi Szymon,

The platform in mars is now shipping on Jetty 9. The Orion team has some
work to do to make the Orion server work with Jetty 9. We still need to be
on Jetty 8.

The work was not on the critical path unfortunately so was not completed
for Orion 9. Bug 444496 [1] has links to several bugs that need to be fixed
before we move to a mars target.

I am hopeful I can finish this off for Orion 10 that ships sometime around
Mars SR1. I am also hopefully I can complete the HTTP/2 (SPDY) [2] changes
to the server at the same time.

Cheers...
Anthony

I have just tried Orion 9 and it turned out that despite being part of the
Eclipse Mars simultaneous release, it embeds plugins from the Eclipse Luna
simultaneous release. Is it expected that Mars release ships with Luna
content? Shouldn't it consume the Mars version of plugins for its
dependencies?

Thanks,
Szymon

Orion 9 was released this morning as part of the Eclipse Mars simultaneous
release! It is available now on the download page:

http://download.eclipse.org/orion/drops/R-9.0-201506191012/index.html

It is of course also available to use on OrionHub: https://orionhub.org

Thanks to Curtis to writing up a blog post on some of the nice new features
in the release:

And from the "continuous release" department, Orion 10 stable build #1 is
also available :)
