Hi Tom,

We have a Developer Guide that explains how to extend Orion. You can bring it up by logging into Orion and clicking the "?" link at the top right-hand corner of the page.
It's also available on the web: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Orion/Documentation/Developer_Guide

The sections you'll want to check out are "Plugging into the navigator" and "Plugging into the editor", which explain how to associate new file types to the editor, and contribute an outline provider, validation, content assist, etc.

Can anyone give me pointers as to how to configure for other languages in the editor as I'd like to start playing with this as a generic IDE base.
Also where can I find info on the security arrangements.
