We are going to get some cycles from the IBM graphic designers for icon work in M8. The idea is to come up with web-specific icons that better match our current theming, better visibility on the dark bar, etc.
I will coordinate getting requests for all the existing icons.
This will also be a good time to revisit our icon usage. There are some places where we may want to stop putting icons in the toolbar (for example, I put undo/redo icons in the editor bar, do we really need these?)
If you have feature work planned and you know you'll be introducing a new icon, please append the info in the icon bug [1].
Please also append if there is an icon that you don't like (so that we don't copy the general theme), or if there is a place where you think we should be using text instead of icons (so that we don't design an icon that we don't need.)
I would appreciate folks commenting in this bug whenever they add a new icon from here on out, so that I'll know to add it to the list.
