And, I really mean it this time :)  

I am done, for now, on making build
and web page changes, so if anyone sees anything "off" or, sees
our old committer downloads URL used anywhere, feel free to open bugs (or
correct a wiki page, etc.). 

To summarize ... the change in infrastructure
SSH access last week, while disruptive [1], made it easy to justify doing
the work long intended anyway, and leave our "warm up" builds
on the build machine, and promote the occasional one to "downloads"
server [2]. 

So, URL of "warm-up" committer
builds is changed, and will now be 

   http://build.eclipse.org/orbit/committers/

Also, the mechanical details of "promoting
a build" are now different, and while it likely effects no one besides
myself, I have written up the new procedure in our wiki: 

   http://wiki.eclipse.org/Orbit/Builds#How_to_declare_or_promote_a_build

(Kim or DJ, as the only other people
that have ever promoted an Orbit build, if I recall right, feel free to
"try it out" at some stress-free time in the weeks ahead, to
make sure it works for you). 

One more coincidental change to mention;
the new build repositories, such as the (only, so far) new one at
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/I20110919015729/repository/
will now have the familiar pack200 produced
pack.gz files as well as plain jars. Hopefully this is all goodness and
will improve performance a little for those using these http repos in target
definitions, 
but thought I'd mention it, since it
is a change, and, like any change, there is a chance it could have unanticipated
effects or bugs. So let us know if anything seems amiss.
