Let me try again:

In the Working Bootstrapped section, it says (my emphasis)

Using a copy of Eclipse without Mylar installed,  (#1)

never says to install Mylar in workspace A (#2), then says

Working in bootstrap mode means you have the source code checked out at least twice (#3)


So it seems to me that either you have to use a copy of Eclipse with Mylar installed (contradicting #1)
or
you have to install it at some point in the step-by-step instructions (contradicting #2)
or
you don't have the source checked out twice ( contradicting #3, which had already been stated is true).

Thus the description of how to bootstrap is incomplete or misleading.
