RE: [modeling-pmc] Galileo build status

Just make sure the feature version and update URL are correct, which means do a test install before letting me know it’s OK to include a reference in galileo.build.  Seriously, test the site first.

So, is it a milestone build, or integration build you’re including?  “M4 integration build” seems like a contradiction ;).

Thanks,

Rich

Hi,

just got a M4 integration build out.

I did a quick review of the .build file.

Is promoting + find/replace time stamp in .build file enough to get trough the amalgamation build process ?

Can you provide me so pointers or answers ?

cheers,

Hi Rich,
I updated the emf-teneo.build file.

Can you include it in the build?

I hope that I didn't break anything...

gr. Martin

That's right, thanks Paul.

I sent out a note to cross-project and I thought this list stating that I'll enter the reference within galileo.build myself in order to prevent excessive breakage (not that that has worked all that well either).

For the rest, just let me know when your build model is ready for inclusion.

If you're interested in seeing what's currently included in Galileo, look here: http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo

Best,

Rich

Rich, and fellow Galileo build non-contributors:

With respect to JET, yes, I will continue updating the Galileo contribution.

As for the others, my guess is that some misunderstanding on what is required to be included in the Galileo build model. I clearly screwed something up :-)

Information (which I just re-read) is available at:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Galileo/Build

I missed the part about adding a reference to my .build file to the main galileo.build.

I imagine most components are using Nick's modeling build and thus have (or can) easily generate component .build files. In that case, am I correct in saying that all that remains is letting Rich know, and he'll integrate it into galileo.build?

Paul

[modeling-pmc] Galileo build status

Hi All,

With M4 Galileo builds underway, I notice not all Modeling components that declared a desire to participate are included in the Galileo build model. Specifically, I see the following issues:

XSD: is included, but you may want to change your template used to generate mdt-xsd.build to have a better label than "EMF" ;)

JET: was included by me recently to allow STP to board the train. It's up-to-date for the JET M4 build and I expect Paul will be updating in the future?

CDO & Net4j: recently updated the contact list, but is the content ready for inclusion in galileo.build?

Teneo: untouched since my initial port from .sc to .build – is Teneo not on the Galileo train? Or, can the current emf-teneo.build model be included as-is? https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=253333#c4

Ecore Tools: same story, only the initial .build model exists. I don't see a breakdown of EMFT components to be included here, so can it be created? https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=260196

Mint: on the train and ready to be included?

MWE: same question

Search: same question

Xpand: same question

Xtext: same question

And before you indicate your build model is ready to be included, PLEASE verify your update site and model content is correct. All sites should have p2 metadata repositories and your URL should not end in /site.xml to allow p2 to bypass this anachronistic method.

Also, order is important in the Galileo model. Let me know what prereqs you have so that when I add your contribution to the model it builds properly.

Thanks,
Rich
