RE: [modeling-pmc] FW: Teneo
|
Hi Bjorn, Janet,
I am one of the potential users of Teneo. I am now really confused about
the legal status of the project inside eclipse.org.
Did I get the statement right that the Eclipse Foundation is never going
to provide a legal advice on the topic?
I see there is already a long thread about Teneo/Hibernate or EPL/LGPL
licensing issue. An impression is forming that either Teneo or Hibernate
are not welcomed in the community. Is that the case?
I guess that if the Teneo project is important for the MDSD interested
community then this licensing issue would be resolved immediately.
Is it the case that the target/focus/scope of the Teneo project is not
clear to the Foundation?
I really hope that all my questions up till now have negative answers
and that the Foundation will contact real license experts and will then
provide a clear statement about the future of the Teneo project inside
Eclipse.
Excuse me if my email sounds offensive. I just want the community to
have a clear statement about the status of the project.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Bogdan

Ed,
The Foundation does not (will not) provide legal advice. Sorry.
