Re: [mihini-dev] Mihini documentation on the wiki

Hi Jan, all,

We've spent some time updating the wiki [0] with documentation that I hope you'll find useful, in particular:
  • Detailed build instructions for Linux [1]
  • A porting guide [2]
  • The documentation of some of the key Mihini modules: ConfigStore [3], Tree Manager [4], as well as the specification of the Device Management commands [5] when doing DM over M3DA.
  • The documentation of the Embedded Micro Protocol [6] that allows to interact with the agent from another process, for e.g. enqueuing data that is to be sent to an m2m server. Note that we plan on completing this low-level API by a REST API that should simplify the creation of language bindings to the Mihini agent, therefore allowing simple M2M development in virtually any language.
This is a wiki so, should you find a typo, or anything that needs clarification, feel very free to update the content! :-)

Thanks!
Benjamin--

Hi,

as an early adopter I would highly appreciate getting more information on build instructions etc.
Would be great if there is possibility to get access to more documentation.

Br,
Jan

Subject: [mihini-dev] Mihini documentation on the wiki

Hi all,

Should we start migrating the documentation that we got on internal Sierra's Confluence to the Eclipse wiki? I think it's important that our early adopters get a better understanding at what
I am especially interested in the detailed build instructions, the porting guide, the Embedded Micro Protocol, and also features such as the Application Container, the Tree Manager…

I could start working on migrating these docs and we can see how it goes from there…
