RE: [mat-dev] Graduation Review Slides Draft

I sent the slides with a request to the EMO for scheduling a review. I’ll post any further information once I have it.

Thank you for the quick response!

I incorporated your changes.

I added also on page 7 a comment where we want to move J

          After graduation the Memory Analyzer project will move from Technology to Tools top-level project

And also modified the point committers adding that now new committers are expected:

    - No new committers are expected. All current committers should be moved

I didn’t understand your suggestion for page 11. I think for a very high-level picture we can live with this one for the moment.

I will attach the updated document in a minute…

Regards,

Krum

It generally looks good -

page 2
It works fine with multi-million objects heap dumps
and can quickly point to the suspicious object and who is retaining
them in the heap.

suspicious object is singular, them is plural, so should it be suspicious objects?

page 3
Adopters
should we add an extra item like
Some additional query and parser plugins are being written as shown by questions on the forum

70.000 -> 70,000 (German -> US style)

page 9
Diagnostic Tooling Framework for Java

page 11
should the DTFJ parser have a notch for the DTFJ implementation to connect to?

page 14
No feature is removed end-of-live
end-of-live -> end-of-life ?
what does this mean? No features have been removed?

I'll see if there is anything here we need to address:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Criteria_for_Graduating_from_Incubation_Phase_to_Mature_Phase

The release review part feels slim compared with other commercial products I've worked on - I don't know whether we need more for Eclipse.org

Hi,

I have attached my proposal for slides needed for the review to bug 299253: Create docuware for the 1.0 release ( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=299253 ) .
Please comment if you think I should do any changes now. I will send the slides to the PMC/EMO later today and will request a review. If the documentation is ok we have a chance to get a review date next week. Otherwise two weeks later.

I attached to the same bug also the approved IP Log.
