solved by clear deleting of eclipse and installing it and m2e again

I also getting this message, when I'm checking for updates:

"Some sites could not be found.  See the error log for more detail.

No repository found at http://maven.apache.org/.

Unable to read repository at http://wiki.eclipse.org/M2E_updatesite_and_gittags.

http://wiki.eclipse.org/M2E_updatesite_and_gittags is not a valid repository location."

In the list of installed software I see:

m2e - Maven Integration for Eclipse

m2e - slf4j over logback logging (Optional)
