[m2e-dev] Java File Encoding and other settings.

Hi all,
 AFAIK encoding setting from maven-compiler-plugin configuration is not used to configure the project settings. It's fairly easy and IMHA usefull to force the java file encodings (see the patch attached to use the plugin configuration to do this).
Should I open a bug for this and attach this patch?

Similar topic: I have a small configurator that reproduce the maven-eclipse-plugin behaviours for extra configurations files (formatter config, carriage return checstyle etc ). Where is the place for such configurators in m2e plugins?
