[linuxtools-dev] lttng getting started : Sample Traces for Download ?

Dear LTTng team,

I’m evaluating the LTTng tooling, and I’m wondering whether you guys have any existing sample traces for download ?

Just opening an existing trace would be a lot faster and easier for me than for initial evaluation, than collecting a trace myself.

Especially if your existing trace were accompanied with some information / annotation what’s supposed to be shown there.

I’d be fine downloading from a bugzilla attachment if that’s where you happen to have some traces;

Otherwise, finding some traces on download.eclipse.org (hyperlinked from the Wiki or User’s Guide) would be great.

On another note, from reading the docs I don’t quite understand the “Histogram” view … am I right that the x-axis is “time” there ? Then I’d think it is an “event density” view and not a histogram. In a histogram, I’d expect events to be bucketized by other criteria eg per process ID.

Thanks,

Martin
