[linuxtools-dev] Vote for Committer status for Matthew Khouzam was started by Francois Chouinard

technology.linux-distros Committers,
This automatically generated message signals that Francois Chouinard has
nominated Matthew Khouzam as a Committer on the technology.linux-distros
project. The reason given is as follows:

Hi,

I would like to propose the nomination of Matthew Khouzam as a committer
for the Linux Tools project.

Matthew has worked on the LTTng component for about 2 years and a quick
browse over the Linux Tools Git history will show that he is the author of
quite a few bug fixes that were integrated in our code base.

More important, Matthew is the main contributor of a grammar and a parser
for CTF (Common Trace Format) as well as CTF adapters to integrate the new
LTTng traces in our tracing framework (TMF). Since this parser is written
entirely in Java and delivered with Linux Tools, it frees the users from
downloading and installing binary parsing libraries in order to use
TMF/LTTng, a quite valuable usability enhancement.

His main contribution can be found in the following plug-ins
- org.eclipse.linuxtools.ctf.core (~8.5K LOC)
- org.eclipse.linuxtools.ctf.parser (~16K LOC)

Note that he also provided a large number of unit tests to achieve ~70%
code coverage for this component.
- org.eclipse.linuxtools.ctf.core.tests (~5K LOC)

Matthew is already very well integrated in our TMF/LTTng team and is
actively contributing to its direction.

I believe that Matthew has demonstrated a very high level of dedication,
perseverance and competence and that he would be an outstanding addition to
the team.

Thank you.
/fc

The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded. The voting will continue
until either all 17 existing Committers have voted or until they have been

one week). Matthew Khouzam must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for a
successful election.

Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):

the part of the candidate take more time than allowed, a new election will
have to be held.
