Re: [linuxtools-dev] Unable to commit systemtap changes to svn repo.

Thanks Jeff!, I had checked out the code in read-only mode :( . I'll checkout again and redo.

Anithra.

Hi Andrew,

I just realized that i dont have authorization to commit my changes. Not sure if im doing something wrong... I'm following the usual procedure to synchronize and commit. Also, is there any format in which the changelog comments need to be entered when committing?. I've made changes to all packages (refactored and integrated Phil's code). Thanks,

Hi Anithra,

Andrew is at Guadec this week. Did you check out the code using svn+ssh://username@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx....?
If not, you won't be able to commit any changes made.
Regarding ChangeLog, if you use the ChangeLog plug-in (assuming you are using Subversive, it will be done automatically for you via CTRL+ALT+P (you will need to setup your name and userid in Preferences).

Otherwise, follow the GNU guidelines: http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/html_node/Change-Logs.html#Change-Logs and/or look at various ChangeLogs in existing Linuxtools plug-ins if you are not sure.

Regards,
