RE: [laszlo-dev] Smooth OS X Installation and Use. . .?

Have you searched the forums for an answer?

Also, I once had a problem that the plugin was hard-coded to look for a specific Laszlo folder (lps-3.1) IIRC, so it wouldn't work with newer versions like 3.2, even though there was no other reason for it not to work. One of the threads on the forum (can't find it now) described a workaround, something like creating a text file with "3.1" in its name (can't recall in which folder, sorry), so that the plugin would think it was using 3.1. It worked for me but I can't find the details (or my text file) now, sadly.

Subject: [laszlo-dev] Smooth OS X Installation and Use. . .?

Hi All,

I'm very very very very new to OpenLaszlo. I've used applications built with it, but I've never worked with it myself. Anyway, that aside, I'm looking for the most streamlined way to get the Laszlo portion of the Eclipse IDE up and running on OS X. I've currently gotten to "New Project" and it asking me for a root directory. This, however, is where it ends. It keeps telling me that the directory "/Applications/OpenLaszlo Server 3.3/Server/lps-3.3" is invalid, however, it clearly exists and is writable. Is there some other qualification I am missing?

Regards,
Michael
