Re: [jetty-dev] Jetty 7.6.x

I moved them all to archives last week because we had over 2g in just
p2 repositories and 2g is our project limit on downloads...SO many
automated nastigrams from eclipse webmaster, I finally had to act.

as for why it isn't a p2 repo, I can't say...I just mv'd it thing.

I do know that we have basically stopped making p2 repositories for
jetty7 because it was a pain to try and get the tycho build producing
it with any consistency while it basically worked for jetty8. And
since jetty8 is the versions being used in juno and kepler we just
decided to not generate them. Too many hours wasting trying to make
the p2 repository work.

I have seen that refreshing thing on eclipse as well just hitting the
eclipse marketplace...its incredibly annoying and makes me want to
just not bother installing anything :)

As for the help system providers, you would have to ask equinox, we
have no say in that matter...though I feel for you, p2 in any of its
forms or use cases I have seen is very 'quiet' in how it fails you and
generally unhelpful. :/

I suppose I can offer to move one of the jetty7 p2 repositories back
to downloads for you if you want :)

cheers,
jesse
