Re: [jdt-ui-dev] [Q] How to use the Packages view actions from another plugin?

I found the package in the F1 build - it is in the JAR, but it is not in the
docs, where I first took a look. Thanks for the tip.

Now I'm wondering, can I use the internal actions from the R1.0 or should I
expect they to be removed/changed?
I am also confused about my plugin being R1.0 compatible, since it will use
most of the functionality JDT provides, including code generation, Java
resource handling, the Packages-like view, etc.

From what I read, there will be more classes made public than the actions
themselves (well, they are public classes now, but it is said in the docs
that the classes, which are in 'internal' packages should not be used by the
plugin developers). In general, my question is: will eclipse be backwards
compatible, and will R1.0 APIs persist in the next releases?

Regards,
Stefan
