Seeing no objections, I have just updated our build engine to use Java 1.8 and I will soon push changes that will require 1.8. Let me know if you have problems with building, although I'm sure Hudson will beat you to it.

You should check and make sure that you are building with Java 8 before ignoring this email. If you are not building with Java 8, give it a try and let me know what you think.
