TPTP Coordination Meeting Minutes October 26, 2004
1) Attendance

2) PMC and Eclipse interaction
Melanie reported on the current thinking on a possible
press release in December. Still looking for a substance
for a PR. Melanie asked if there is any information on new
members that could be included. Tyler said one proposal
from Ling is to not do a full press release in December,
instead do a release on eclipse.org and plan a full PR for
Q1,2005.
MG deliberated on a new name for current RAC. The group
came up with candidate names. PMC deliberated on the
recommendations and decided to adopt "Agent Controller".
Regarding the renaming of Hyades <projectname> to TPTP
<projectname>, MG is Okay with the proposal.
Discussion on formation of news groups. We considered
pros/cons of having one newsgroup for TPTP versus one
newsgroup per each of the four projects under TPTP
project. There is no decision made yet.
Gian Franco will not be able to attend Q4 F2F meeting
during Dec 6-8 due to some other engagement.
3) Operation of the current plan
Development activity for 3.2 release on track. PMC is
awaiting the mapping of current list of plugins and
committers to these plugins to the matrix of components
by projects. Harm is working on putting this matrix
together with input committers. Once this is completed,
Tyler will circulate a comprehensive list of committers
including new committers.
4) Technical forward plan
Serge talked about the need for more documents on how
to extended TPTP platform (with description of extension
points) - for example how to add a new test type. Serge
sent out a list of desired documents some time ago. Tyler
asked that we review this list next week with the
objective of preparing a list of required documents even
if we do not who could contribute a document.
ACTION: Serge to send out a list of desired documents for
extending TPTP platform to this group.
Serge wanted to know the plan for keeping the TPTP
requirements spreadsheet produced by Req. Group and
the table posted on Hyades webpage. As we are in the
middle of transition to new processes, this state may
continue for a short time. Tyler summarized the new
process and clarified that the these will be generated
from Bugzilla database and decisions made at RG will be
entered into Bugzilla.
5) Internal and external communication
Melanie talked about submitting a nomination for
a software tools award, Jolt Award. They have a category
for testing tools. For more information, visit the link

Jim indicated that there is opportunity to present TPTP
related topics at the CA Developer conference in
April, 2005. One option is to modify the EclipseCon
presentation in February for this event.
